About The Position

Performs duties described in the Service Contract Act Service Order MAINTENANCE PAINTER. May perform duties of other classifications that have a pay rate equal to or lower than the employee's current rate.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent.
• Two years advanced education or equivalent specialized training.
• Two years of journeyman level experience in this trade.
• Ability to use hand and power tools associated with job duties.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Paints and redecorates walls, woodwork, and fixtures.
• Knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint required for different applications.
• Preparing surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices.
• Applying paint with spray gun or brush.
• May mix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency.
• Performs other duties as requested.
