About The Position

Now Hiring: Sign Fabricator-Welder | SkyRite Sign Co. Based in Lubbock, TX | Full-Time | Skilled Welder Wanted If you know your way around a MIG welder, can read a tape measure without blinking, and take pride in your welds...we've got a spot for you. At SkyRite , we build custom signs that become part of our customers' identity. But those signs don't stand tall or last long without strong welds behind them. That's where you come in. As a Welder, your job is to lay down clean, solid, dependable welds that hold up to wind, weight, and time. If you grew up on a farm or in a shop where welding was just part of life...and you learned the right way by doing it over and over...this job might feel a whole lot like home. We're looking for that kind of steady hand and common-sense work ethic. This is a full-time, hourly position in an indoor shop, with the opportunity for overtime. And thanks to recent changes in the law, overtime pay is now tax-free under what's being called the Big Beautiful Bill . That means your hard work after 40 hours may go even further than before. Your work will literally become part of the skyline in cities and towns across Texas.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of MIG welding experience
• Ability to read a tape measure, blueprints, and weld symbols
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Positive attitude and willingness to follow direction
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability requirements

Responsibilities

• MIG weld steel (and other metal) sign structures
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and cut lists
• Measure, prep, and align parts for accurate welding
• Perform quality welds with consistency, safety, and speed
• Keep your tools and area clean, organized, and safe
