About The Position

This position is for a Sideline and Stunt Cheer Head Coach for the 2026-2027 School Year at Paloma Valley High School. There is one opening for this role. Requirements

Possession of a valid first aid card and a valid CPR card.
2 years coaching as a cheer coach or 5 years coaching cheerleading at the high school level or above, or years as a professional athlete in cheerleading and/or member of a national team.
Comprehensive up to date knowledge of the sport, strategies, and technical skills.
Must successfully complete an interview related to the coaching skills and philosophy of the sport being interviewed for.
Must be able to clear all training required by the district to be considered a coach, such as NFHS Fundamental of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion Protocol, Heat Illness Prevention etc.
Required to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification.
Required to obtain NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification.
Required to obtain NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification.
Required to obtain NFHS Concussions in Sports certification.
Required to obtain NFHS Heat Illness Prevention.
Required to complete Perris Union High School District Human Resources required documents and safety training.
Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment clearance which consists of a live scan fingerprint clearance, a drug screening and a current verification of a negative TB assessment or chest x-ray.
