Side Loader Operator
About The Position
The Side Loader Operator is responsible for the picking of materials on pallets such as coils, boxes of siding (steel, aluminum, vinyl), accessories, stage finished goods based destination/location and arrange on the shipping dock. The Side Loader Operator will operate a power industrial truck, such as a forklift, side loader, reach truck, manual pallet jack etc., to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment or materials. The Side Loader Operator will service the needs of the Fabrication lines which includes bringing supplies (pallets, cartons, belts). The Side Loader Operator will retrieve finished goods from the Fabrication lines.
Requirements
- 3-6 months’ experience in manufacturing facility preferably in a warehouse capacity
- Experience forklift operator; Side Loader exp is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for this hands-on role
- Must be fluent read/writing/speak English
- Pick/Pack and check experience a plus
- Minimum of a High School Diploma
- All facets of housekeeping
- Must be safety conscience
Responsibilities
- Redistribute finished goods and apply them to customer orders or stock
- Uses computer scanner to put away and locate finished goods
- Verify product accuracy prior to accepting finished goods
- Stage finished goods based on the destination/location
- Retrieve cartons/pallets from trucks, dock or yard
- Update the staging locations on a daily basis
- Receive, sort, distribute resale items
- Report all non-conforming products
- Perform cycle counts
- Other duties as assigned.
