About The Position

Facilitates play-based activities and programs to promote child development and well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Education, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
  • Planning and organizational skills including implementing interventions and programming for children of all ages.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Experience working with children in group and individual settings, required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assessments to identify needs of individual children.
  • Designs and implements appropriate interventions.
  • Communicates and collaborates with team members regarding patient and family experiences.
  • Documents all patient interactions and maintains data related to activity participation.
  • Maintains program resources and facilities to sustain safe, clean, and accessible learning and play environment.
  • Provides training and supervision for volunteers to ensure safety and appropriate interaction.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of departmental events and programs.
