About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Shuttle Van Driver to join our team at the port terminal. In this role, the Shuttle Van Driver is responsible for transporting drivers to and from designated parking areas within the port terminal. This role supports efficient vehicle flow and daily auto logistics processing by ensuring the timely movement of personnel and maintaining a safe, organized shuttle operation. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License – Required
  • Ability to operate an automatic and manual transmission vehicle - Required
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination
  • Effective communication skills—listening, writing, and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consistently punctual, reliable, and dependable.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Adherence to safety protocols, including no use of personal cell phones while on duty
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk long distances, and talk and hear.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms to grab, handle, feel, and reach.
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders or stairs.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • You must wear the required safety PPE, Safety vest, hard hat, gloves, etc.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working indoors and outdoors.
  • Excessive heat or cold, extreme weather conditions, excessive humidity or dampness or chilling.
  • Slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
  • Work around machinery with moving parts.
  • Work around moving objects, vehicles, and moving machinery/heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate shuttle vehicles throughout the port terminal, transporting drivers to and from parking and staging locations.
  • Drive and maneuver both manual and automatic transmission vehicles as required.
  • Perform visual inspections of vehicle body panels and report any damage or abnormalities.
  • Accurately complete documentation and clearly write notes when needed.
  • Learn and utilize handheld scanners and terminal technology to support operational processes.
  • Follow all port, terminal, and company safety protocols, traffic rules, and security procedures.
