About The Position

This person will deliver and pick up service customers to and from their destination each day while service is being performed on their vehicles. This position may deliver and pick up parts, equipment, mail, etc., for the dealership and other Lancaster County Motors locations. Other duties will be assigned on an as needed basis. Job Duties Include: Requires an individual who is courteous, has good driving skills, accurate knowledge of delivery area and good communication skills. Responsible for shuttle run as needed - transport customers to their requested destination in a timely and safe manner and picks them up after their vehicles are repaired. Greet customers in a courteous and prompt manner 100% of the time. Keeps a log of trips for each day to include: passenger name, destination or pick-up point. Use good judgement and safe driving skills. Tag vehicles each morning and back into assigned area with tag displayed on rear view mirror. Fuel and run loaner vehicles through the car wash as needed each morning and park in designated area. Carry company owned cell phone to communicate with dealership or employees for other duties as assigned. Always display positive dealership image, demonstrate professional personal behavior; and interact with customers and fellow employees in a positive manner. Maintain a professional appearance. Responsible for maintaining a clean and well run shuttle vehicle by scheduling maintenance and washing on a regular schedule. Report all lot or vehicle damage immediately to Service Manager. Assist staff with arranging vehicles in parking lot as needed. Run errands for various people of the dealership to include, but not limited to: Post office, title runs and etc.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, and background check
  • Regularly required to stand, crouch, and kneel
  • Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms and to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and components
  • Occasionally required to stoop or crawl and the ability to talk and hear
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs
