About The Position

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation for resort guests and team members while delivering exceptional guest service consistent with Omni Hotels & Resorts standards. This role serves as an ambassador of the resort by creating a welcoming and professional first and last impression.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate passenger vans or small buses safely.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift luggage up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Previous hospitality or transportation experience.
  • Knowledge of Hilton Head Island roads, attractions, and local area.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, driving, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to assist guests with luggage and mobility needs.
  • Fast-paced luxury resort setting.
  • Frequent interaction with guests, team members, and the public.
  • Emphasis on safety, professionalism, and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate resort shuttle vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Transport guests to and from designated resort areas, nearby attractions, and approved local destinations.
  • Assist guests with luggage, mobility needs, and general directions.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of shuttle vehicles at all times.
  • Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly, professional conversation.
  • Provide accurate information about resort amenities, dining, activities, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Deliver service that aligns with Omni’s luxury hospitality standards.
  • Follow assigned shuttle routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with front desk, bell services, and management via radio or phone.
  • Assist with additional guest service duties as needed during slow transportation periods.
  • Maintain proper logs, incident reports, and daily checklists.
