About The Position

The Employee Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of company employees to and from designated locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a professional attitude. The driver will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the shuttle vehicle.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a professional driver, preferably in a shuttle or bus driving role.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be 25 years of age or older.
  • Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
  • Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.
  • Strong time management and punctuality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Frequently, in van to drive to pick up employees and drive to and from the plant.
  • Frequently, up and down steps in and out of some accounts and in and out of van.
  • Frequently, to operate brake and gas pedals on truck and walking throughout the day to and from truck to make deliveries and inside accounts to deliver product.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a corporate or large facility environment.
  • Familiarity with the local area and traffic patterns.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to address minor vehicle issues.

Responsibilities

  • Transport employees between company facilities, parking lots, and other designated locations according to a scheduled route.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good condition. Report any issues or repairs needed to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal driving laws and company policies related to vehicle operation.
  • Offer courteous and professional service to all employees, assisting with boarding and disembarking as needed.
  • Be punctual to ensure employees are transported as scheduled. Notify the appropriate personnel of any delays or schedule changes.
  • Keep accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant details as required by the company.
  • Be ready to respond to emergencies, such as vehicle breakdowns or accidents, following company protocols.
  • Keep the shuttle clean and presentable at all times, including regular cleaning of both the interior and exterior.
