About The Position
Supporting a local transportation company, the Shuttle Driver will report to a base location in south-central Maine. Routes will mainly be within the State of Maine. The company has many long-term employees. They value community, safety and quality service, while offering a relaxed and friendly team of self-motivated individuals. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 6:00 AM-7:00 AM start. Pay is hourly, with optional overtime available on Saturdays. Rotating schedule available.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow directions and schedules
- Previous Class A driving experience required
Responsibilities
- Transport loads to and from designated warehouse and delivery locations in a safe and timely manner
- Follow pre-planned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery at destinations
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the truck
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure good working conditions
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
