About The Position

Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shuttle Driver to transport team members between designated off-site parking locations and the resort. Occasionally you might also transport guests to specified locations in the nearby region. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations while upholding our standard of Legendary service. Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License for the state of Florida
  • Must join DOT consortium program
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing
  • Minimum one (1) full day ride-along training with experienced driver
  • Minimum one (1) management-supervised ride-along evaluation
  • Completion of defensive driving training
  • Drive Safe Online Training Modules
  • Fleet safety training and company-specific operational instruction
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicle multiple times per shift
  • Ability to assist passengers safely when necessary
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and logs
  • Ability to assist passengers with luggage or other belongings.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while interacting with internal and external guests.
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employees are required to be available to work weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license with no major violations for the last three (3) years, 1 or less minor violations.
  • All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move, and push and/or pull up to 35 pounds or more upon occasion, Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a shuttle bus while adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations in various weather conditions
  • Transport passengers to and from designated locations on established routes and schedules
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
  • Maintain fuel and mileage logs
  • Keep the shuttle interior and exterior clean and orderly
  • Assist in basic vehicle upkeep (checking tire pressure, refueling, report concerns)
  • Deliver excellent guest service and address passenger questions courteously
  • Coordinate with Security and Parking Operations leadership
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards
  • Maintain a clean driving record
  • Participate in required DOT and company training
  • Report accidents or incidents immediately
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
