Shuttle Driver - CDL Class A

The Shuttle Driver position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for building and maintaining solid, positive working relationships between the Market Center and depots. This position requires a highly motivated individual who is committed to exceeding expectations and requirements. Successful Shuttle Drivers must balance their work in a safe and expedient manner while accurately transporting merchandise into and out of the laundry facility. As advocates for the organization, Shuttle Drivers strive to generate goodwill and loyalty while performing their duties in a professional manner at all times. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a company vehicle or truck to transport products between Market Centers and remote depot locations. Timeliness is crucial, as you will need to adhere to route delivery and facility processing schedules. You will confirm route schedules and details with the Market Center Production Manager and ensure that daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle is conducted. This includes maintaining proper operator documentation, driver duty status logs, and daily vehicle inspection reports. Managing your daily route effectively is essential to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products. Additionally, you will be responsible for loading and unloading products according to company policies and procedures. Safety is paramount; you must take responsibility for your personal safety and be vigilant about the safety of others in the Market Center and on the road. This includes using safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment, and adhering to all safe work practices and policies. You will also need to be knowledgeable about and comply with Federal, State, and local highway transportation laws and regulations. Carrying the required driving license and medical certification at all times is mandatory. Other duties may be assigned as required, which are reasonably within the scope of the activities described above.
