The Shuttle Driver is responsible for inspecting and preparing trucks before each trip, transporting finished products, raw materials, and packaging between assigned facilities, and ensuring the proper handling of other assets and materials as required. The role includes fueling all trucks, cleaning shuttle trucks and work areas, and following shuttle lists and FIFO as directed by production and materials departments. The Shuttle Driver must properly log hours and loads, report any safety concerns or issues with the condition of trucks to the Maintenance or Plant/Production departments, and obey all traffic rules and federal/state regulations for operating a commercial truck. Additionally, the Shuttle Driver is expected to support the Food Safety culture and attend all required training by the company, along with performing other job duties as assigned.

  • Inspects and prepares trucks before each trip.
  • Transports finished product, raw materials, and packaging between assigned facilities.
  • Transports other assets and materials, as required.
  • Fuels all trucks and cleans shuttle trucks and other work areas.
  • Follows shuttle lists and FIFO, as directed by production and materials departments.
  • Properly logs hours and loads.
  • Reports any concerns with safety or condition of trucks to Maintenance department or Plant/Production department.
  • Obey all traffic rules and federal/state regulations for operating a commercial truck.
  • Support the Food Safety culture and attend all training required by the company.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
  • A high school diploma or GED required.
  • CDL (Class A) required. Required to maintain CDL (Class A) during assignment as Shuttle Driver.
  • Experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
  • Forklift experience strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50-100 pounds on a regular basis.
