About The Position
Gate Gourmet is seeking motivated and engaged individuals to join our team as Shuttle Drivers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving a company vehicle to transport employees, guests, and materials between the off-site parking lot and the GGI building. This position is crucial in ensuring that our staff and visitors have a seamless experience as they arrive and depart from our facilities. You will be expected to follow directions, work collaboratively as part of a team, and may be required to load and offload goods as necessary. Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed. To be successful in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or GED, although it is preferred rather than mandatory. While up to one year of experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. A current U.S. driver's license is required, and depending on the vehicle, a CDL may be necessary. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to read and write to complete required forms and effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers. This position requires you to be at least 21 years of age and to work an assigned schedule that may include weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required, and punctuality is crucial. You will also need to comply with company policies and complete necessary paperwork and administrative duties. The work environment can be challenging, as you will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise. Physical demands include the ability to lift, push, pull, and move products, equipment, and supplies weighing up to fifty pounds frequently during your shift. You will also be required to stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts that can last over 8 hours.
