About The Position

The Shuttle Bus Driver position involves safely transporting senior citizens to various appointments and events while providing assistance and support during their travels. The driver will also assist in office tasks and social activities when not driving, making it a versatile role within a retirement community.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Previous experience in commercial driving, paratransit, or school bus driving preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with passengers.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, such as groceries and mobility devices, when necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from all regularly scheduled activities and personal appointments.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles as needed.
• Account for all residents' presence when leaving or returning to the community.
• Keep all vehicles fueled, tagged, inspected, and clean.
• Assist in the office and activities between outings.
