Drives minibus or van to transport clients, trainees, or company personnel.
Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, training location, job site, or other destination according to assigned schedule.
Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle, secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
Operates radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
Cleans and/or services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
Keeps records of trips and/or behavior of passengers.
Performs other duties when not driving such as custodial and building maintenance tasks.
Ensures that passengers are safely loaded and unloaded from their buses (Vans).
Inspects vehicle at the beginning and end of their shift to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
Reads street maps and understands their route by studying maps if necessary.
Maintains contact with the dispatcher and keeps track of passenger pickups and drop-offs as necessary for log count.
Class A license.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must have a valid Washington driver's license at the time of hire.
Must not have any health-related issues that prevents or restricts prolonged driving.
Some knowledge of military operations and schedules.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Must possess and continuously maintain a current State of Washington driver's license.
