About The Position
The Shuttle Bus Driver provides passenger shuttle bus services for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This service consists of fixed routes that primarily run from Downtown Berkeley and nearby BART stations and bus stops, up to the Lab, which is in the hills above the UC Berkeley campus, and to offices in Emeryville. This is a private service for lab employees, scientists, and approved visitors. Our vehicles have a capacity of 30 passengers. Shifts/Schedules: The shuttles run Monday – Friday. 6 Hour Shift guaranteed, with possibility of overtime.
Requirements
- Requires 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possession of a valid California Class B Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement is required.
- Must have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
- Demonstrated safe driving record is essential.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test is mandatory.
- Must be comfortable and proficient with technology.
- Strong customer service skills and a customer-focused attitude are necessary.
