About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Shuttle Operations at Denver International Airport plays a crucial role in leading the strategic, operational, and cultural direction of the transportation organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience).
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or a related industry, with at least 3 years in a senior management capacity.
  • Proven track record of driving organizational growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget creation and cost analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of transportation technology systems, fleet management tools, and data-driven operational strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to design and execute long-term strategies that align with organizational goals, customer demands, and market trends.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement growth opportunities, including service expansion, strategic partnerships, and technological advancements.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational, financial, and customer service success.
  • Lead change management initiatives to adapt to evolving industry landscapes, ensuring agility and resilience.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of shuttle operations, including fleet utilization, route optimization, and resource allocation.
  • Leverage data analytics and industry best practices to improve service delivery, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement robust contingency plans to ensure service continuity during disruptions, including staffing shortages, vehicle breakdowns, or weather-related incidents.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives by integrating environmentally conscious practices into operational processes.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and frontline staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure staff competency in safety, compliance, and customer service.
  • Serve as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, promoting an inclusive workplace that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning to support leadership continuity and team growth.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation, including DOT and OSHA standards.
  • Implement enterprise risk management strategies to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Design and implement innovative customer service strategies to deliver a premium rider experience, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Act as a key liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, government agencies, and community partners.
  • Develop communication frameworks to address escalated customer issues and provide real-time solutions while safeguarding the organization's reputation.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Generate and analyze operational reports to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Manage vendor relationships for vehicle repairs, supplies, and other services.
