The Supportive Housing Services (SHS) Housing Coordinator reports to the Housing Support Manager – Multnomah County. They are the SHS housing expert both proficient in housing navigation and housing stabilization. This role provides direct services in the community to participant households as they transition from houselessness, hospital, or licensed residential settings to housing settings of their choice within our community. The SHS Housing Coordinator uses a person-centered approach to assist participants to prepare for, obtain, and retain housing, with the goal of increasing independence and thriving in the community. The SHS Housing Coordinator is the New Narrative SHS expert around housing placement, financing, and supportive service opportunities for all participants within SHS. They work with participants, the participant’s identified support team members, property managers, community partners, and colleagues to ensure high quality services are provided resulting in stable housing placements, housing retention and participant satisfaction. This position supports all SHS housing navigators and housing stabilizers, supports the SHS team in meeting expected performance outcomes, cultivates team culture, and partners with SHS Supervisors and Program Mangers to develop and maintain programmatic structure and efficiency. The SHS Housing Coordinator will work with the SHS leadership team to support onboarding of new staff. They would be responsible for attending community case conferencing meetings and other SHS community meetings/trainings to ensure participants needs are supported and New Narrative SHS programs are maintaining and operating in alignment with best practices. The SHS Housing Coordinator will work with the SHS leadership team around responsibility for the professional development of team members, ensuring service delivery meets the standards of SHS team/New Narrative, and supporting the team’s outcomes.
