Purpose of the Role: Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production machines and plant facilities and for the proper preventative maintenance of the plant and production equipment assigned.

Requirements

  • Technical school preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to five years mechanical experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge and use of hand tools
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work outside in various extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to learn quickly and stay motivated. Work at a continuous productive pace safely

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production and plant equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Lubricate production equipment daily.
  • Replace broken belts, bearings, motors, and electrical systems as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust oil levels and condition on production equipment on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Calibrate production equipment to ensure synchronization of all parts.
  • Build machine modifications or system improvements as requested by management.
  • Report issues with electrical systems and controls for production equipment and throughout the plant.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in the work area.
  • Perform welding and torching tasks as needed.
  • Conduct visual and audible inspections of equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and responsibilities while performing work.
  • Other duties as assigned
