Larson Company, a family-owned wholesale distributor of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Datacom products with 8 locations in the upper Midwest. There are 3 Pahl’s Designer Showroom locations in Wisconsin and South Dakota. As we celebrate our 95th anniversary, we remain dedicated to our employees, customers and vendors, and are positioned to move into the future as a family owned and operated business. We have a great opportunity to join our Showroom Sales Team at our Hudson, WI Showroom. This is an on-site position that will provide quotes, sales and service, and will work with internal and external customers to ensure company goals are met and long-term positive customer relationships are cultivated. Hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, occasionally attending home and design shows on the weekend.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-4 years sales experience – preferably in retail/direct and/or showroom experience
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and personable professional demeanor
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to explain product features, benefits, and pricing to customers clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A solid understanding of the products being sold or the ability to quickly learn about them
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and collaborate within a multi-functional team
  • A dedicated passion for providing external and internal customer service.
  • Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions, providing product information, and resolving issues
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with MS applications
  • Ability to travel 5%
  • Valid US Driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Education in interior design, business administration, marketing, retail management, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Customer & Vendor Relationships Build and maintain strong relationships through proactive communication and follow-up
  • Address customer needs, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively
  • Order & Project Management Manage customer orders end-to-end, including entry, submittals, shipping, billing, and issue resolution
  • Serve as project coordinator, collaborating with contractors, designers, etc
  • Sales Support & Market Insight Share customer insights with internal teams to support sales strategy and service improvements
  • Participate in market research, lead generation, and sales initiatives
  • Product Expertise & Collaboration Maintain strong knowledge of product lines, trends, and applications through ongoing learning
  • Participate in sales meetings, vendor training, and cross-department collaboration
