About The Position

The AFW Show Floor Staging Associate is responsible for physically placing merchandise in the showroom under the guidance of the Visual Designer and Store Management. This role involves constructing, painting, and deconstructing displays to create an appealing visual presentation for customers. The Staging Associate will also handle merchandise assembly, inspection, and tagging, ensuring that all items are accurately represented and accessible to customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Ability to safely operate a company-approved box cutter.
  • Ability to operate a forklift/order picker for stock management.
  • Ability to work at heights of 0 to 35 feet above the ground.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF guns.
  • Ability to safely operate hand trucks and furniture moving carts.

Responsibilities

  • Physically place merchandise in the showroom as directed by the Visual Designer and Store Management.
  • Assist in constructing, painting, and deconstructing displays for visual presentation.
  • Open, assemble, and inspect merchandise prior to showroom placement.
  • Tag merchandise with pricing and feature information for customer clarity.
  • Operate a stock picker to pull and return merchandise from the warehouse to the Staging Department.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures while promoting awareness.
  • Assemble merchandise using various tools while maintaining quality assurance and attention to detail.
  • Inspect, inventory, and hard mark all merchandise before staging on the show floor.
  • Facilitate transfers between stores with accurate inventory management.
  • Construct, paint, set-up, and install signs and banners for events.
  • Set-up and maintain fixtures using hand or power tools.
  • Work effectively with multiple departments to improve processes and customer service.
  • Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
