About The Position

Kern River Transitional Care is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Shower Aide (CNA) to join our team! The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents, with a focus on assisting residents with showers and personal hygiene needs in accordance with each resident’s care plan, facility policies, and state regulations. Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in California (required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Nice To Haves

  • Previous skilled nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with showers, bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Ensure resident comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from shower areas
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized shower and bathing areas
  • Document care provided in accordance with facility policies
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors
