Shower Aide/CNA Full-Time
About The Position
Kern River Transitional Care is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Shower Aide (CNA) to join our team! The primary purpose of this position is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents, with a focus on assisting residents with showers and personal hygiene needs in accordance with each resident’s care plan, facility policies, and state regulations. Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in California (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Nice To Haves
- Previous skilled nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with showers, bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Ensure resident comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
- Assist with transporting residents to and from shower areas
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized shower and bathing areas
- Document care provided in accordance with facility policies
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors
