DIVER
About The Position
The Show Diver is primary responsible for providing the guests with an exhilarating show experience through performance diving or narration of various dive shows. This position answers to the Dive Safety Director and the Director of Education. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks: • Performs hourly energetic, educational, and entertaining dive shows for guests. • Adheres to all dive guidelines set forth by the Dive Safety Board. • Must have knowledge of all exhibits including the animal life that is in each exhibit. • Assists husbandry staff in cleaning and tank maintenance. • Assists the husbandry staff in food prep and animal care.
Requirements
- Certified to SCUBA dive by a nationally recognized training organization such as PADI
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Must be outgoing, energetic, and have good public speaking skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel in order to prepare equipment and assist with diver suiting.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Fluent in English
