About The Position

Museum of Ice Cream is an inclusive and immersive brand focused on creativity, inclusive spaces, and childlike wonder, using ice cream as a vehicle for imagination. The Show Ambassador role is for individuals who thrive in high-energy, interactive environments, enjoy performing, engaging with diverse audiences, and creating magical guest experiences. This position involves dynamic performances, meaningful interactions, and playful engagement, alongside supporting retail sales, bar and cafe operations, special events, and VIP experiences, all while aligning with the company's culture and values. Candidates should have customer service experience or transferable skills from hospitality, retail, entertainment, or other experiential industries, and be willing to learn and grow within a creative and performative team. This is a seasonal employment position, lasting up to six months, though the season may conclude earlier based on business needs.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Food Handler or ServeSafe certification
  • Open availability, including weekends
  • Standing and walking on your feet for long periods of time, up to 8 hours
  • Team work and ability to effectively function in a high energy environment
  • Bend/lift heavy objects of up to 40 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in performance, acting, or entertainment, ideally in a guest-facing or interactive environment.
  • Entry level sales, inventory or retail management experience
  • Custom F&B (Food and Beverage) product crafting to enhance an experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilize scripted guides and spontaneous performances to bring exhibits to life and create memorable experiences.
  • Utilize training and skills to support sales across MOIC’s retail shop, bar and/or cafe, as well as ticketing.
  • Support the Service Team in delivering ice cream and other treats to guests in a quick and efficient manner.
  • Provide real-time, positive guest support to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience throughout the experience and retail shop.
  • Assist with performances and experiences for special events and VIP guests, ensuring high standards of engagement and service.
  • Partner closely with both Service and Show Teams to create a memorable and cohesive guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the museum to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
