About The Position

The Short Form Video Editor centers on editing short-form vertical video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Meta, and YouTube Shorts. The editor will transform raw footage into platform-native content built for engagement and performance, delivering quick turnarounds and multiple variations to support testing and optimization. This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere with proven success in creating high-quality short-form video content for social media platforms.
• Highly organized and meticulous with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining efficiency.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience expectations.
• Ability to edit and adapt video formats for different platform requirements.
• Demonstrated capability to produce high volumes of content quickly without compromising quality.
• A pulse on what brands across industries are doing well on social media.
• A witty, creative thinker with a strong eagerness to learn and contribute fresh ideas.
• Minimum of 2 years of short-form video editing experience.
• Must provide samples of work or a portfolio showcasing exceptional editing skills, creative storytelling, and trend-driven content.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form vertical videos (Reels, TikToks, etc.) using Adobe Premiere and native platform tools, ensuring high-quality, trend-driven content that aligns with brand strategy.
• Create multiple versions of videos for testing and optimization, adapting content to platform trends and audience engagement metrics.
• Handle a steady stream of content, contributing to the production of 50+ videos per month across six brands while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Continuously monitor social media trends, editing styles, and platform updates to keep content fresh, engaging, and relevant.
• Work closely with the social team to stay two steps ahead, identifying editing opportunities and workflow improvements before they are requested.
• Find creative solutions to editing challenges and maintain efficiency under tight deadlines.
