About The Position

Provide guidance and supervision for all participants programs in the Activity Center. Responsible for the setup and breakdown of equipment. Coordinate and lead activities; always mindful of your responsibility as a positive role model for all. Must be actively involved and attentive at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide attentive and active supervision of all participants ages 7-17 and activities within the Activity Center. Coordinate and leading engaging activities that promote fun, learning, and a sense of belonging among youth. Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in all interactions with participants, parents, and colleagues. Ensure the safety and security of all participants at all times, along with adhering to all YMCA policies and procedures. Accident reports and reportable conditions forms are filled out completely and submitted in a timely manner. Serve as a positive role model for all participants, demonstrating the YMCA's core values in your daily interactions. Notify supervisor of any problems or issues that arise during shift. Assists with any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least age 18.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Harassment training prior to first day of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
