About The Position

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is searching for a Shopkeeper to join our Factory at Franklin team! Our mission is to make the world’s best ice creams and build community, and our scoop shops are at the heart of how we serve this mission. They are where we offer the ice creams we work so hard to build from the ground up—where people come together to share joy and conversation. We love people. We love ice cream. We view ice creams as a form of art.

A Jeni's Shopkeeper is the general manager of their scoop shop, and is responsible for all day-to-day operations. They play a key leadership role in our growing company, leading a team of 10-30 with a constant focus on providing the world's best ice cream and world-class customer service. This person has hustle, scrappiness, and passion for achieving results. The ideal Shopkeeper is self-motivated, team-focused, has exceptional judgement and brings a positive, upbeat energy to everything they do.

Requirements

• Has management experience or equivalent (2 years)
• Has customer service experience (3 years)
• Has experience driving sales and managing labor (2 years)
• Has a strong work ethic, a good heart, exceptional judgment, and plenty of smarts
• Is comfortable receiving feedback and excels at collaboration
• Is energetic, positive, and a skillful communicator
• Leads by example and excels in a team environment
• Is creative, resourceful, organized, and an excellent problem solver
• Is calm under pressure and navigates adversity with grace
• Has a willingness to take on unexpected challenges
• Knows and appreciates what makes our ice creams so splendid
• Committed to the well-being of their shop team, their community, and the environment around them
