About The Position

Laborer Position Summary: Brayman Construction is currently searching for a Shop & Yard laborer to add to our team in Saxonburg. Must be a team player and have the willingness to learn new skills. The laborer role is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Essential Responsibilities: General labor duties as related to shop/yard maintenance, unloading & loading of trucks, light repair, inventory, painting, pressure washing, clean-up of the yard, sand blasting, etc Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop and yard areas, parts, tools, and supplies. May drive locally to pick up and deliver materials on a weekly basis, company vehicle provided. Overnight travel may be required once a month. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities: Must be comfortable standing on your feet for prolonged periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must have a good driving record and be over 21 years old due to driving a commercial vehicle (non CDL) involving interstate deliveries. Work will involve highly repetitive and routine duties as well as learning proper material handling and equipment operation. Requires care and constant attention to shop activities to avoid injury to self or other team members and to provide prompt assistance and service as needed. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Educational & Experience Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience preferred Valid state driver's license Safety Sensitive Position: This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
