About The Position
Our specialty lumber yard is looking for a shop hand who will be responsible for basic woodworking and some welding.
Requirements
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Position is full-time
- Normal business hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
- Must be available for overtime hours as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience preferred for this position
- Welding experience is a major plus for this position.
Responsibilities
- Constructing gates for fence projects. Some gates require customization, and the shop hand will need basic woodworking skills to ensure precision, productivity, and quality.
- Cutting lumber for decorative structures such as pergolas and arbors
- Lifting heavy gates and lumber for raw materials is required
