Position Overview: The Shop Technician at Bow Robotics plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency, accuracy, and safety of our operations. This role supports shipping and receiving, inventory management, robot preparation, maintenance, and testing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work across multiple operational areas to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Shipping & Receiving Operations Receive inbound shipments and verify quantity and condition against packing slips and job requirements. Check in parts using Service Fusion, ensuring accurate and complete data entry. Tag, label, and document parts with SO/job number, part number, status, and location; stage items appropriately. Prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and documentation as assigned. Inventory Support Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Stock items in assigned locations, maintaining accurate quantity and location data in Service Fusion. Organize and separate tested, untested, and defective materials for clear inventory control. Robot Test Line Maintenance (5S) Maintain readiness of the robot test line through cleaning, organization, and proper cable/tool control. Identify unsafe conditions, damaged components, or missing items and escalate or correct promptly. Robot & Motor Prep / Painting Perform surface preparation and painting of robots, motors, and components to shop standards. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of paint/prep areas and consumables. Electronics Repair Support Assist with teach pendant repairs and other electronic repair tasks as needed. Document troubleshooting steps, repairs, and outcomes in the job record. Robot & Controller Tear Downs (Rigging / Handling) Safely dismantle robots and controllers, including large robot arms and assemblies. Operate cranes and forklifts safely (per training/certification) to move, position, and stage equipment. Testing & Diagnostics Create and run test programs to validate robot mechanical components and controller parts. Set up test configurations, execute functional checks, and record clear pass/fail results with notes. Seasonal Preventative Maintenance (PM) Assistance Support preventative maintenance work during high-volume PM seasons, including on-site support as needed. Ensure accurate PM documentation and maintain necessary consumables (oil, filters, fans, batteries).
