About The Position

The Shop Technician at Stabil Drill, a Superior Energy Services Company, plays a crucial role in supporting the energy industry by maintaining and preparing tools for demanding drilling applications. This full-time position involves a variety of tasks in the shop environment, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of two to five years' experience in a related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• General shop, breakroom, & cleanup
• Operate forklift and overhead crane
• Operate Saw Machine
• Assist in special projects
• Shop organization and supply storage
• Daily & Weekly Inventory
• Receiving and distribution of supplies
• Assist with the movement of tools
• Carbide / Sludge Containment
• Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment
• Operate a shop truck for local errands and deliveries
• Welder's/Machine Shop Helper
• Hand Grinding
• Machine Grinding
• Ring Gauging
• Tool Prep
• Bead Blasting & Shot-Peening
• Follow established safety policies and procedures
• On a rotation basis, will be required to be on call when scheduled
• Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer QHSE handbooks, QHSE procedures and emergency procedures
• Perform any other delegated duties considered appropriate in order to maintain the efficient running of the department.
