About The Position

Safely perform service and repairs, in the Altorfer shop, on Fork Lifts & Aerial Equipment for Altorfer and its customers. Troubleshoot and repair electronic diesel engines, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, drivetrain, brake systems and all other systems. Establish and maintain service-oriented relationships with customers when in the field. Order parts on computer system data base. Complete service reports and all other paperwork after repairs are made. May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned

Requirements

  • Completion of formal technical training program or minimum of three years’ experience in mechanical repair and/or lift truck repair experience.
  • Previous experience working on electronic diesel engines, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, drivetrain, brake systems, etc. and possess troubleshooting skills required.
  • Computer literacy required. Must be familiar with programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CAT Programs.
  • Ability to follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment.
  • Maintain quality service by leaving customer’s equipment appearance in excellent condition and fix all maintenance issues
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills required
  • Must be team oriented and willing to adapt to change.
  • Ability to work overtime and some weekends when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are necessary.
  • Must have your own tools and able to lift up to 75lbs.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
