About The Position

As a Shop Technician 2 - INSPECTION you will apply knowledge of basic manufacturing theory and components. Perform inspections, examinations, and tests according to documented procedures and industry practices. You will report to the Area Manager and be located at New Stanton, PA. You will be 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of Manufacturing / Inspection experience.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5.
  • Qualification and certification for Inspection to ANSI N45.2.6 (preferred, but can be certified after hire).
  • Identify specialized training.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings, including GD&T.
  • Use basic inspection hand tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
  • Knowledge of CMM and Optical Inspection equipment.
  • Proficient in use of computers; specifically, MS Office programs.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Inspect components using an open set up with minimal instructions.
  • Perform tasks outside of quality, such as receiving material, packaging, and shipping coordination.
  • Determine if the calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment is current.
  • Ensure that the measuring and test equipment (M&TE) is in proper condition.
  • Verify that the inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved.
  • Work with manufacturing technicians when submitting first piece articles for inspection to audit equipment set up and verify drawing characteristics.
  • Work with engineering / area manager to set weekly priorities and review status of in-process components.
  • Receive raw materials.
  • Package finish machined components.
  • Inspect in-process and final released product.
  • Review shipping documents.
  • Create certificates of conformance.
  • Help with product development and product qualifications.
