About The Position

Holt CAT in Waxahachie, Texas is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment-Shop Service Technician. This position is responsible for providing high-quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure.
• Ability to troubleshoot Tier 4 Final Emissions Systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot Exhaust Gas Recirculation Systems.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have the ability to obtain a forklift license.
• Must have own tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Excellent attendance is required.
• Must have a steady employment history.

• Diesel Tech Schooling is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment.
• Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop such as pumps, hydraulic, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues and repairs.
• Document all work orders properly.
• Work efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
• Work with limited supervision.
