About The Position

Holt CAT in Irving, Texas is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Shop Technician. This position is responsible for providing high-quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. A minimum of 3 years of experience on heavy construction equipment is required. The hours of the position are Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM. Requirements

  • Must be able to Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop such as pumps, hydraulic, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues and repairs.
  • 3 years or greater of dirt moving equipment troubleshooting and repair skills of heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure. CAT ET & CAT SiS 2.0 knowledge preferred
  • Able to document all work orders properly
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose Tier 4 systems.
  • Must have steady employment.
  • Must have a valid drivers' license
  • Must have the ability to obtain a forklift license.
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 50# approximately 5 times a day.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy are required.
  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have own tools.

  • Diesel Tech Schooling is highly desired.
  • CAT ET & CAT SiS 2.0 knowledge preferred
