About The Position

We are seeking a Shop Receiver to join the team at Mass Audubon’s shop, located at Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary. The Shop Receiver performs backroom and inventory support functions, including receiving and processing incoming merchandise, updating pricing information, organizing and shelving webstore items, and maintaining accurate records. Duties also include maintaining stockroom organization and overseeing the coordination of shipping activities.

Responsibilities

• Receive Merchandise
• Unpack, receive, and price merchandise and perform receiving procedures on the computer
• Resolve receiving discrepancies and handle returns
• Put away merchandise in stockrooms and keep stockrooms organized and tidy
• Keep receiving area clean, tidy, and organized: crush boxes, sweep, and remove trash as needed
• Webstore Management
• Shelves: organize and keep webstore product shelves and prices up to date
• Web Orders: assist in processing web orders as needed
• Other Shop Responsibilities
• Act as salesperson and answer phones as needed
• Recruit new members and convey Mass Audubon’s mission
• Participate in the annual and periodic physical inventory
• Filing of catalogs and orders
• Assist retail manager and other store staff with special projects
