Requirements

  • Proven experience in shop or operations management, preferably in manufacturing or custom cabinetry/closet industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with production scheduling and quality control processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external vendors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with production management software is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily shop operations to ensure timely and quality production of custom closet products.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate shop personnel to optimize productivity and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Oversee scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to meet production deadlines.
  • Coordinate with sales, design, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain equipment and manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare regular reports on production status, challenges, and achievements for senior management.
