About The Position

Mechanic Refrigeration Company (MRC) is seeking a </span> Shop Mechanic</b> to support our compressor rebuild shop. This is a hands -on role for someone who enjoys mechanical work, takes pride in doing things right, and wants to learn and grow in the industrial refrigeration field.</span> </div> Responsibilities </h3> Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues </p></li> Learn to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals </p></li> Perform ammonia compressor rebuilds</b> (screw and reciprocating) as skills progress </p></li> Support the shop team with tear -down, cleaning, parts prep, reassembly support, and general mechanical repairs </p></li> Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized work area </p></li></ul> Skills / Qualifications </h3> Basic mechanical knowledge and strong interest in the trade </p></li> Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions and procedures </p></li> Interest in refrigeration, HVAC -R, or mechanical systems </p></li> Works well as part of a team and can work independently when needed </p></li></ul> Preferred Skills </h3> Previous experience as a service technician, mechanic, or similar hands -on role </p></li> Familiarity with refrigeration mechanical systems and components </p></li> Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record </p></li></ul> </span> </div></span> Requirements</h3> </p> Responsibilities:</span> </b> </span></div> - Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues</span> </span></div> - Learn to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals</span> </span></div> - Perform Ammonia Compressor Rebuilds.
