For information on our international network visit www.colas.com. Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic based out of Savannah, GA location. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years related experience (preference).

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years related experience.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
  • Mechanics must supply their own tools.
  • Must actively abide by the company's safety policies and procedures.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license with a clear MVR.

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to weld (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of various types of heavy equipment and motor vehicles while adhering to all company safety policies.
  • Proper completion of any required paperwork/records regarding repairs to equipment and vehicles on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, take directions to job sites.
  • Must be able to use good judgement in decision-making and be able to work with or without direct supervision.
