About The Position

East Coast Industrial Services, Inc. (ECIS) is seeking a skilled and reliable Shop Mechanic to join our shop team. This is a union position under the IUOE Local 825 Heavy Agreement. The ideal candidate has strong diesel and electrical diagnostic skills, experience with hydraulic systems, and a solid mechanical foundation, along with a willingness to continue learning and growing with our fleet.

Requirements

• Diesel mechanic experience (required)
• Electrical diagnostic skills
• General knowledge of large and small motors
• Experience with hydraulic repair
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn new equipment and systems

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel and non-diesel engines and related systems
• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Repair and maintain hydraulic systems
• Service and maintain large and small motors
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Identify mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
• Follow all safety procedures and shop protocols
