About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Shop Technician for their Agriculture & Turf Division in Donald, OR. This role involves working on all makes and models of agriculture equipment in the shop, ensuring accurate and timely repairs to maximize customer uptime. The technician will analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures, then repair, replace, or rebuild various components including engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components (pump motors, valves, and all related components), electrical systems, and air systems. Additionally, the role includes assisting with pre-delivery setup and installation for John Deere equipment and allied products. Requirements

2 or more years of working knowledge of small engines and agricultural equipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and air conditioning systems.
A team-oriented personality, with the focus and drive to work without direct supervision.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

Work on all makes and models of agriculture equipment in the shop ensuring equipment repairs are done accurately and timely.
Analyze and diagnose agriculture equipment malfunctions or failures.
Repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components including pump motors, valves, and all related components, electrical systems, and air systems.
Assist with pre-delivery setup and installation on all makes and models of John Deere equipment and allied products.
