About The Position

H&K Equipment is the premier dealer of forklifts, container handlers, railcar movers, utility vehicles, and more in Pittsburgh and the greater tristate area. Headquartered minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and with additional facilities in West Virginia, we sell, rent, service, and rebuild the most unique selection of custom and heavy-duty material handling equipment in the industry. Our technicians and in-house capabilities enable us to tackle jobs that no other shop can handle. We are actively searching for a Shop Technician to service various types of industrial and commercial cleaning equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers and combo-units in our shop. Dealership experience is nice to have. Car dealership mechanics encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Hydraulic experience preferred
Diesel experience preferred
Electrical aptitude preferred
Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with a wide range of equipment types including sweepers, scrubbers, vacuums, carpet extractors, burnishers, and buffers is nice to have
Dealership experience is nice to have.
Car dealership mechanics encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial cleaning equipment (diesel, gas electric or LP fueled) to diagnose technical problems
Determine required repairs
Maintain equipment service records
Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks
Test mechanical equipment after repair or assembly to guarantee proper performance and compliance with the manufacturers’ specifications
