About The Position

The Bike and Ski Shop Mechanic at REI is a seasonal part-time role focused on enhancing the outdoor experience for customers through expert assembly, servicing, and repair of bikes and snow sports equipment. This position requires engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The mechanic plays a crucial role in the retail store's success by ensuring that equipment meets industry standards and by promoting REI's products and services.

Requirements

• Bike and snow sports equipment assembly experience (preferred).
• Demonstrates technical skills and proficiency.
• Completes required training/certifications.
• Sets practical goals and establishes priorities to achieve business goals.
• Organizes and uses resources to meet deadlines and communicates about plans and progress.
• Ability to transfer 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and aid in transactions.

• Follow REI loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
