About The Position

Supervise, direct and coordinate the scheduling and performance of maintenance services in the NY Shop Ensure a safe, productive and timely performance of services. Duties and responsibilities Responsible for managing all Operating aspects of the NY Shop at the Corporate Office Monthly spends for parts, labor and supplies Repair Order throughput > shop productivity Evaluate, add, modify or delete shop programs to operational need Supervises Internal Service Writers, Parts Manager & Foreman(s) Oversight and management of parts department to optimize stock, accuracy and part availability via Parts Supervisor/Manager Create, Manage and review weekly planning and assignments, reviews plan with Service Writers and Foreman Approve weekly payroll, PTO, conduct performance reviews semi-annually and annual, review and set goals with staff Supporting PMM Operations Prioritizes and optimizes shop software; accuracy, utilization and functionality – holds staff accountable to same standards Weekly audits of mechanic work orders & workload schedules Daily review of all outstanding repair orders with staff to ensure accountability and troubleshooting support with staff Verify unit warranty is setup, track claims with parts and service department or warranty administrator Review PM, Internal DVIR, and Fault Codes DAILY with Service Writer(s)/Foreman to make sure units are addressed timely Oversee training program in the shop for Service Writers, Foremen, Mechanics and apprentices Supports/participates in training, continuing education/training programs Provides Professional Interface with Customers and fellow KTC/Page employees Knowledgeable and supports Safety, ELD/HOS, DOT & CSA communications with Drivers Stays current with Industry technology updates where appropriate. Commercial vehicle ride along with company driver for training exposure Regular Attendance & Punctuality 24/7 Access with Weekly Rotation of After-hour Breakdown Line KPI – Key Performance Indicator Repair cost to industry standard Repair order throughput to total monthly spend

Requirements

  • 10+ proven management experience with 8+ staff
  • 10+ years of Leadership experience
  • Software experience/computer technical expertise
  • 3-5 years heavy duty shop experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in the trucking industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and agree to companies drug free workplace policies
