The position involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and equipment, including trailers and tractors. The role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with safety standards and company policies, promoting a safe work environment at all times.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct tire maintenance, including mounting and dismounting tires.
  • Execute brake jobs and bearing and stud replacements.
  • Maintain trailers, focusing on brakes, ABS, doors, and minor body repairs.
  • Service tractors, including brakes, engine work, and diagnostics.
  • Repair engines, run diagnostic tests, and replace faulty parts.
  • Check and maintain water-cooling systems and clean air and oil filters.
  • Promote a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Certified in brake repair.
  • 2 years of Diesel Mechanic experience.
  • Current CDL License is a plus but not required.
  • Thorough knowledge of machines and tools for repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Reading comprehension of work-related documents.
  • Strong service perspective to meet customer expectations.
  • Effective application of technical knowledge to solve problems.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Must provide own tools, including impact wrenches up to 1/2' drive.
  • Carrier and Thermo King Reefer experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds numerous times and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
  • Carrier and Thermo King Reefer experience.
