About The Position

This position is responsible for general shop labor, maintenance, fabrication, and carpentry work. The Shop Laborer will assist with the operations of the Shop Department to ensure all projects are completed in excellent condition and in a timely manner. Requirements

• Following written and verbal instructions.
• Measuring and performing mathematical computations.
• Performing metal fabrication.
• Performing carpentry work.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Minimum of two year’s working in a maintenance, fabrication, or carpentry environment.
• Must be able to lift objects of at least fifty (50) pounds.
• Ability to travel up to twenty (20%) of time as needed.

Responsibilities

• Apply various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.) for fabrication and repair purposes.
• Using various metal working equipment such as a sheer, break, grinder, etc.
• Interpret prints, drawings, plans, or job write-ups and apply fabrication or welding techniques to complete projects.
• Possess a high mechanical aptitude.
• Using various mechanical hand and power tools/equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in carpentry.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to measure and perform mathematical computations.
• All other duties assigned.
