About The Position

Earth Work Solutions is seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Laborer to support our maintenance shop operations. This entry-level position will assist the maintenance team with shop maintenance tasks, shop upkeep, and other related duties. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, eager to learn, and capable of performing physically demanding work in a shop environment.

Requirements

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work well as part of a team
Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment maintenance
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a shop environment
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Prior maintenance or shop experience, preferred but not required
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to obtain PEC/SafeLand, First Aid/CPR, H2S, and MSHA, along with any other site specific training requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with tools, equipment, or mechanical work is a plus but not necessary

Responsibilities

Perform general labor tasks in the shop, including cleaning, organizing, and moving tools and equipment
Perform sandblasting and pressure washing on equipment and shop survaces as directed to maintain cleanliness and prepare surfaces for maintenance or repair
Load, unload, and transport materials, parts, and supplies within the shop
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including sweeping, disposing of scrap materials, and performing routine shop maintenance
Operate basic hand tools and shop equipment under supervision
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and shop rules
Perform other duties as assigned by the Welding Superintendent or maintenance staff
