About The Position

For over 100 years, Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Shop Industrial Sandblaster/Painter will have basic skills in blasting and painting. Must be able to measure and record blast profiles. This person will meet basic needs to organize and complete work, steadily increasing efficiency. This person will be responsible for safety, quality, production standards and goals. This shift will run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; 12-hour days (6:00am-6:30pm) . Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 as long as specific conditions are met!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Goal oriented, reliable, responsible for their actions.
• Able to accept responsibility for others in work area plus have good oral and written communication skills.
• Adhere to Maguire’s PPE Policy and Safety Programs.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse construction sites by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.

Responsibilities

• Have a basic understanding/knowledge of what to look for and how to check for quality.
• Ability to operator robotic and manual sandblasting/painting equipment.
• Responsible for a clean and safe work area.
• Mark material with proper identification.
• Ensure material coming into and going out of work area(s) is properly identified.
• Have a working understanding of our overhead hoists.
