About The Position

Summary: Responsible for safe, and effective general shop support. We want to see you embrace and immerse yourself in the assigned company's culture. Primary Responsibilities: Support daily shop operations by assisting production and manufacturing staff as directed. Load and unload materials, parts, and finished goods at workstations. Assist with basic machine setup tasks under supervision (material loading, cleaning, staging). Perform simple visual inspections to identify obvious defects or damage. Deburr, clean, label, and package parts according to work instructions. Assist with basic assembly, finishing, or secondary operations as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and safety guidelines. Follow established quality, safety, and company procedures at all times. Communicate with supervisors and production coordinators regarding task status and instructions. Deliver materials, tools, and paperwork to appropriate departments as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. Requirements

  • High school diploma is required
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate simple computer software programs
  • Ability to read and input programs into machinery
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to take and understand measurements in millimeters.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Required to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Frequent moderate physical effort required
  • Use hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objects
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds when necessary
  • Ability to see details of an object from a distance and close-up

Nice To Haves

  • Previous shop, warehouse, or labor experience is a plus but not required
